Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions regarding EESI Global’s regulatory framework, sanctions compliance, and digital asset security standards.

General Framework

What is the EESI Global Reporting System (EGRS)?

The EESI Global Reporting System (EGRS) is our primary electronic portal for the submission of mandatory reports concerning blocked property and rejected transactions. It serves as a centralized hub for all Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and financial institutions to maintain compliance with international digital asset regulations.

General Framework

Who is required to comply with EESI Global standards?

Any entity operating within the digital asset ecosystem, including exchanges, wallet providers, liquidity pools, and institutional investors, that falls under the EESI Global international self-regulatory framework must adhere to our standards for AML enforcement and sanctions compliance.

Sanctions & Enforcement

What is the difference between a Sanctions List and a Red Notice?

A Sanctions List identifies specific entities, individuals, or blockchain addresses that are prohibited from participating in certain economic activities. A Red Notice, however, is an international request to law enforcement to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending legal action. Both are critical components of the EESI Global enforcement toolkit.

Sanctions & Enforcement

How often are the blockchain watchlists updated?

Our blockchain watchlists and identified virtual currency addresses are updated in real-time as intelligence is gathered and verified. Compliance officers are encouraged to synchronize their internal systems with our API at least every 24 hours to ensure continuous alignment.

Secure Reporting

Is anonymous reporting supported?

Yes. EESI Global provides end-to-end encrypted channels for informants and whistleblowers. We prioritize the security and confidentiality of all submissions to ensure the integrity of our digital asset security framework.
