The MicroLiner™ Reactive Power Correction System

 

The MicroLiner™ is EASI’s breakthrough product that finally permits cost effective electrical savings treatment of very small single phase motors and appliances.

Since our company’s beginning, we have used the same reliable treatment methods to cancel the reactive current demanded by larger single phase and three phase electric motors. But, when site surveys arrived at our engineering department giving data on a facility’s smaller single phase motors, we were forced to not treat them for savings; producing an EasiLiner™ of that tiny size, but that still met all of UL’s and CSA’s enclosure and safety requirements made that size product impossible.

The IllumiLiner™ Universal Lighting Controller

The IllumiLiner™ is our patented technology that will reduce the amount of power consumed by many types of fluorescent, high intensity discharge (HID), and incandescent lighting systems by from 25% to 50%…while the lights are on. The IllumiLiner™ installs at the lighting circuit breaker and is able to control all of the lights on that breaker, at either 120, 220, 240, 277, or 347 volts. The IllumiLiner™ is extremely flexible. The EURO™ line of lighting savings products is built to provide predictable lighting cost savings with either electronic ballast fluorescent or HID lighting.

Originally developed in response to application needs on unusual European style fluorescent ballasts, the EURO™ line of products has grown to be a workhorse in EASI’s lighting program. By using variable levels of inductance to control current to the lights, none of the EURO™ line of products introduces harmonics or adds any irregularity to the AC waveform. The TVSS II™ Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor

The TVSS II™ is an integral component of every EASI designed power savings system. It addresses one of the most critical power quality issues facing your business: voltage transients and surges. By helping to solve these problems, it gives you several important benefits. Transient voltage surges are higher than normal voltage surges of very short duration. They can exceed several thousands volts in amplitude and occur many times a day.

Transients are created by many factors. Externally caused transients are generated by electrical storms, line or capacitor switching by the electric utility company, and motors and equipment used or switched by neighboring businesses. Internally caused transients are created by your own motors turning on and off, fluorescent and high intensity discharge lighting, loading and unloading of electrical equipment, operating many types of electronic equipment, and from the operation of simple power factor correction capacitors.

Frigi-Tech™ refrigeration oil supplement is a space age lubricant containing a napthenic oil base with a number of specially developed additives. It contains two anti-oxidation and anti-wear systems that reduce friction, save energy use, and extend equipment life. The primary system stays in solution and is triggered by temperature on an as-needed basis, only. The secondary system is metal seeking and latches onto all the internal metal surfaces.

Sizing of air conditioning systems is based upon a number of factors, when any of the design considerations are not met; the air conditioning system is relatively oversized for the cooling load and thus, less efficient.

Intellidyne’s patented process determines the “cooling demand” and “thermal characteristics” of the entire air conditioning system by analyzing the compressor’s “cycle pattern,” and dynamically modifies that “cycle pattern” to provide the required amount of cooling in the most efficient manner. This is accomplished in “real-time” by delaying the start of the next compressor “on” cycle, by an amount determined by the “cooling demand” analysis.

These new patterns also result in less frequent and more efficient compressor cycles. IntelliCon®-CAC electrically augments the existing controls, and will not cause the compressor to run unless the existing thermostat is calling for it to do so. Just as computer control has increased the gas mileage of automobiles: IntelliCon-CAC improves the electrical efficiency of air conditioning systems, by supplementing the antiquated on/off action of the thermostat (even a “smart” one) with the analysis and control capabilities of a computer.

Field-testing has demonstrated that IntelliCon’s “intelligent modification of compressor cycling” has led to significant electrical energy savings. The TVSS II™ is an integral component of every EASI designed power savings system. It addresses one of the most critical power quality issues facing your business: voltage transients and surges. By helping to solve these problems, it gives you several important benefits. Transient voltage surges are higher than normal voltage surges of very short duration. They can exceed several thousands volts in amplitude and occur many times a day.

Transients are created by many factors. Externally caused transients are generated by electrical storms, line or capacitor switching by the electric utility company, and motors and equipment used or switched by neighboring businesses. Internally caused transients are created by your own motors turning on and off, fluorescent and high intensity discharge lighting, loading and unloading of electrical equipment, operating many types of electronic equipment, and from the operation of simple power factor correction capacitors.

These high voltage transients will, at best, drastically shorten the life of your motors, lights, microprocessor based equipment, the SCR’s or diodes inside switching power supplies, and any plain AC capacitors installed in your building. The electrical distortion caused by transients adds resistance to electrical lines, distribution gear, and transformers, creating excessive heat loads that add to your energy usage and maintenance costs.

EASI’s TVSS II™ is designed for heavy duty use in heavily loaded power distribution systems. It is nearly four times more efficient than most commercial surge suppressors. Frigi-Tech™ refrigeration oil supplement is a space age lubricant containing a napthenic oil base with a number of specially developed additives. It contains two anti-oxidation and anti-wear systems that reduce friction, save energy use, and extend equipment life. The primary system stays in solution and is triggered by temperature on an as-needed basis, only. The secondary system is metal seeking and latches onto all the internal metal surfaces.

Sizing of air conditioning systems is based upon a number of factors, when any of the design considerations are not met; the air conditioning system is relatively oversized for the cooling load and thus, less efficient.

Intellidyne’s patented process determines the “cooling demand” and “thermal characteristics” of the entire air conditioning system by analyzing the compressor’s “cycle pattern,” and dynamically modifies that “cycle pattern” to provide the required amount of cooling in the most efficient manner. This is accomplished in “real-time” by delaying the start of the next compressor “on” cycle, by an amount determined by the “cooling demand” analysis.

These new patterns also result in less frequent and more efficient compressor cycles. IntelliCon®-CAC electrically augments the existing controls, and will not cause the compressor to run unless the existing thermostat is calling for it to do so. Just as computer control has increased the gas mileage of automobiles: IntelliCon-CAC improves the electrical efficiency of air conditioning systems, by supplementing the antiquated on/off action of the thermostat (even a “smart” one) with the analysis and control capabilities of a computer.

Field-testing has demonstrated that IntelliCon’s “intelligent modification of compressor cycling” has led to significant electrical energy savings. IntelliCon’s innovative and intelligent algorithms have proven electrical savings; not only on properly sized and operating systems, but also on units that were undersized or those that had not been properly maintained. IntelliCon-CAC works in conjunction with the existing thermostat and will not void the compressor manufacturer’s warranty. An additional feature of the IntelliCon-CAC is the accepted industry practice of compressor anti-short-cycling control.
