Understanding the need to reduce their energy costs, while also increasing their electrical efficiency standards, drove them to undertaken an energy efficiency project. The Chicago Bakery is the largest bakery in the world, employing more than 1,500 workers and turning out some 320 million pounds of snack foods annually.
The Mondelez Chicago facility, at 1.8 million sq. ft., is the world’s largest Bakery. The Company decided to use this facility to determine whether they could reduce energy cost and increase electrical efficiency standards using EASI technology. EASI’s full facility approach achieved 12% savings using EASI Liners, Power Liners, Lighting upgrades, Elspec, and Frigi-Tech.
